James is an SK student who created a movie with a little help from his mom.

He would love to hear about your holiday. Did you see the same things? Did you see anything different on your school break? Do you have any questions for James?

Ryan has finished his movie and it is now posted on our blog. Please take a look at his March Break story too. http://mrsharrisonk.wordpress.com/2013/03/18/ryans-i-can-see-book/

  1. Dear James,

We are Ms. Fynes's AM Kindergarten class at Thornwood PS. We read your book today and some of us had comments and questions for you. We weren't sure where to put our comments so we'll put them here AND on your class's blog.

    Comments and Connections:
M: I like the part when the water and the tree was there - the water was ice.
N: Your book was really cool!
T: I was lots of rocks when I went out.
R: I know you were in Canada (because) we have forests and snows too but not so many trees as you.
M: I can see rocks at the park, like you.
T: I really like the book.
S: I love your book - everything about it!

    Questions:
S: Does your class have a class beside you like ours? (we are in a pod)
J: Do you have a pet?

    About our March Break:
T: I saw a magic show at the library. There was a rabbit looking out of the magic hat.
J: I went to Chucky Cheese's and I played a game with coins you put in and if you get it in the hole you get lots and lots of tickets.
Mrs. Fynes: I went out to a forest with my kids, and it looked a lot like where you went. We saw sugar maple trees with spigots and buckets, and tasted the maple sap as it dripped into the bucket. Did you see any sugar maple trees on your walk?

One student, E, asked if we could go for a walk in the forest, too. Your book inspired us - we will take a walk along the forest path soon, and take pictures to share with you! Thank you for your book.
